الشيخ أبي إبراهيم محمد بن مانع الآنسي
On the authority of Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him),
from the Prophet ﷺ who said:
“Is any one of you unable to recite one-third of the Qur’an in a night?”
They said: And how can he recite one-third of the Qur’an?
He said: “Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad equals one-third of the Qur’an.”
In the busyness of work, the length of surahs, and the amount we plan to recite in Ramadan…
Do not forget a surah that is easy in its words, great in its meaning.
Surah Al-Ikhlas equals one-third of the Qur’an.
Only four verses that summarize the reality of tawhid and remind the heart of whom we worship and to whom we turn.
Repeat it calmly between the adhan and the iqamah,
recite it in your prayer,
keep it on your tongue while you walk or wait or before you sleep.
Its reward is great, and acting upon it is easy.
And perhaps a truthful word that came from a present heart is heavier on the scale than many pages read in haste.
Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas often in Ramadan…
with a sincere intention and a reflective heart.
And make use of your times and your moments.
